hi:
I installed wd2.2 on a laptop hard disk with a kontron pc/104 computer without any problem. then I changed hard disk with a 256M chipdisk(256MB flash). the installation is ok. but when I restart the computer, lilo can't be loaded. showed on screen like:
L 01 01 01 01 01 01 ....
does anyone know the reason?

Hi,

I've recently bought a Geode GX1 based PC/104 SBC, and have installed White
Dwarf 2.2 on it.  The work I need to do on it will involve a lot of
experimental software development/prototyping, and having got all the dev
tools installed and compiled a simple Hello World app, I thought I'd post
something to this mailing list to ask how White Dwarf users (running on
embedded systems) generally do their software development.

Do you code on the unit itself, running gcc locally?  Do you develop on a
desktop machine (via ssh etc) and compile on the unit?  Or do you do you
cross-compile on your desktop and copy the executables over?

I'd really like to get cross-compilation working, especially as rebuilding
the kernel on the SBC literally takes hours!

Any hints/suggestions appreciated!

Hello Sir,
 
    I  have installed WDLinux on X386 pc.
I have written simple Kernel module with init_module & cleanup_module.
I compiled it with following command:
   gcc -I /usr/include/  -DMODULE -D__KERNEL__ -c filename
but it shows following errors:
can't find kernel.h & module.h  file
So,Please reply as soon as possible if u know more about this type of error.
I am waiting a positive reply from your side.
