The work I need to do on it will involve a lot of experimental software development/prototyping, and having got all the dev tools installed and compiled a simple Hello World app, I thought I'd post something to this mailing list to ask how White Dwarf users (running on embedded systems) generally do their software development. Do you code on the unit itself, running gcc locally? Do you develop on a desktop machine (via ssh etc) and compile on the unit? Or do you do you cross-compile on your desktop and copy the executables over? I'd really like to get cross-compilation working, especially as rebuilding the kernel on the SBC literally takes hours! Any hints/suggestions appreciated!
