Volunteers are needed for our upcoming event, KIT Triathlon at Cary Park. The tri is for ages 5-17 and will be held at 1pm on Sunday, May 20, at the Cary Park community in Cary. Information can be found on our website at www.kidsintraining.com or directly to the race page at http://www.kidsintraining.com/kit_triathlon.htm where there is also a link to the map. We will need help in the following areas/times: * Directional from 12:30 until about 2:00. (up to 15 people) * Setup from 10 am until 12:30 (up to 5 people) * Cleanup from 2:00 until about 3:00 We appreciate you spending your time with us so all volunteers will receive either an event short-sleeved Tshirt or a knit beanie cap. We also give a complimentary registration that can be used on any of our races - it's transferable so even if you don't have kids you can give it to someone else you know (make sure you email me). The research is part of my Master's thesis. We all know from experience that coaches have a great impact on athletes, but little research exists to support this evidence. For my research I am asking triathletes to complete a survey stating their two most important races of the year and their goal race times for those races. It should take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. This is where I am asking for your assistance. I need to get this survey out to as many triathletes as possible. If you could personally fill out the survey (assuming you are competing in at least two races this season) AND forward this link to as many athletes as possible. The athletes do not need to be coached in order to complete the survey. The results from the research will be gathered this fall.
