Hello to the Sustainable Biodiesel Summit folks,

This is Sarah Haynes with The Spitfire Agency. I wanted to touch base to
make sure that you know about our work-exchange opportunity for the NBB
conference. In exchange for working 40% of the convention hours on our green
team (almost always in the same rooms as the actual convention is taking
place), I can offer you a free badge to the event.

Here is all you need to know below:

SPITFIRE GREEN TEAM
The National Biodiesel Board has teamed up with The Spitfire Agency, to
³Green² our conference. What this means is that we are making our best
efforts to minimize our environmental impact by looking at all that we are
doing, and asking ourselves if there is a more responsible way of doing it.
Some of this starts in advance of the event, for example, printing our
materials on 100% recycled paper. But most of it happens on site. If you
volunteer for the Green Team, you will get a free badge in exchange for
working 40% of the convention hours. This badge will get you into all of the
convention panels, parties and meals (except those that have an additional
cost for all badge holders called Œpre¹ and Œpost¹ sessions).

More info on what we do to Green the event:
http://www.biodieselconference.org/2008/pre/conf/greening.asp

There are a number of volunteer tasks available the two main ones being:

1. Set up - placing recycling cans, hanging signage, inventory of all the
1,000¹s of eco items we have shipped in (although I assume most of you will
not be available for this).
2. ³Garbage Goalies² - these people stand at our Waste Reclamation Stations
and help vendors and attendees understand what goes where, and why. Because
we have so many unique products on site that people haven¹t seen before
(bio-plastic cups, sugar cane plates, wheat cutlery & more), this is
actually a lot harder then it sounds, and requires quick responses, an
upbeat attitude, and a lot of patience educating people. The work is social,
fun, and usually has you in the same rooms that you would be in if you were
a normal attendee, so you won¹t miss much. But it¹s also a very important
project for us, so we ask that you please only apply if you are serious
about working hard, don¹t mind getting your hands dirty, and have a genuine
interest in learning about Greening.

Please see attached NBB Confirmation Form for more on what working this
event entails. If you are absolutely sure you want to be on our green team,
please fill out the questionnaire included, and email it back to me. Due to
the large number of responses, please do not send individual questions until
you have read everything above/attached. I believe it really is all in
there!

PS - I have also attached a file called Spitfire Factoids, which explains
all that we did to Green the convention in 2006 - in case it is of interest.

Hope to see you on site!

Best,

Sarah Haynes
