From emily at sustainable-biodiesel.org Mon Apr 23 23:15:49 2007 From: emily at sustainable-biodiesel.org (emily at sustainable-biodiesel.org) Date: Mon, 23 Apr 2007 23:15:49 -0400 Subject: [Sustainable-biodiesel] BALLE is coming up Message-ID: <007701c7861e$dcd16600$0202a8c0@Michael> Hi Folks, At the wrap-up at the 2007 Sustainable Biodiesel Summit we discussed meeting again at the BALLE conference in Berkeley, CA 5/31-6/2 (http://www.livingeconomies.org/events/conference07/index_html). SaraHope has arranged for a Sustainable Biodiesel session on Saturday followed by dinner. We have been working with the Sustainable Biodiesel Alliance and look forward to more fully integrating our groups. BALLE is a chance to reconnect, pick up the momentum from February, and set priorities for the rest of the year. Given the setting among the BALLE conference attendees, this is also an opportunity to connect with the consumer. Needless to say, they are a critical part of the equation. We can discuss strategy for sustainable biodiesel with end-users who support local, sustainable businesses. We also have a chance to learn from others who have successfully advocated for sustainability in their respective industries. Please help us by taking these actions by Thursday April 26th. They will probably take you 45 seconds to complete: 1. Email me and let me know: a. if you are thinking about attending BALLE (the number of industry folks present will inform the agenda) b. what you would like to see addressed here (even if you are not able to attend) c. if you are interested in helping plan this session (even if you can't make the conference, we could use your help) Thanks and look forward to hearing from you, Emily Bockian Landsburg PS - Congratulations to Bob McCall on the opening of Standard Biodiesel, using local WVO, aiming to be off-grid in a couple years. http://www.standardbiodiesel.com/ Congrats Bob! Let's share more successes on the list serve. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
